And that sums up my reaction to the "new" simpsons on sky this evening...bollocks! Try putting that into an emoticon!!!

What happened? Somewhere along the line, it just went...wrong.
They show us pieces of old episodes (i'd have preferred to actually see the full episodes they were taken from!) and stuck them together with a useless "roasters" ceremony...and then, at the end, they had a song which was trying to tell us that they can still come up with good ideas!

it was Absolutely Crap it's was bad enough giving us a "new" episode with about 5% new footage

yes, i've been witing to deliver that "worst episode ever" line for years!!!

i agree, though, it was just such a pointless exercise, wasn't it!?? a clip show with little or no new material is just stupid!!

    grr...

I agree it was crap and the time spent making it was a waste but did noone else get the irony? Maybe they were just taking the p!ss?

    Doesn't excuse it though.

    Yeah I noticed that myself.

Strange as this is going to sound, I think that whole episode was a 'coded' whistle blower that the writers of the show have just had enough of making the simpsons but are afraid to say enough is enough regarding their only blue-chip show to date!

The song at the end defiantly states 'You'll never stop the Simpsons' yet sounded so deliberatly lethargic that it almost felt like a plea (or a challenge) to us to stop watching it so they can kill the show off with some justification.

Either that or it was a hint that what's ahead for the show is genuningly going to be VERY VERY bad indeed (maybe those 4 useless pitches at the end aren't as unlikely as they seem?). :(

I didnt see it but the only good clip show was the 247th episode spectacular or whatever becasuse it had alot of funny"unseen"clips. The writers know theyre not as fresh as they used to be as shown in"The Simpsons are going to Delaware!"which was seen in two episodes. But i still think its doing well and it doesnt need axing yet.
And why dont sky repeat newer eps more frequently?Im hardly ever in on sunday night.
