.max extension

    does anyone know what program can read a .max file ?

    trying to open an attachment from a friend of mine with the filename page1.max. pride stops me from asking the person in question :D

    The .MAX extension is a Paperport format.

    Yeah, more than likely it will be a 3DStudio Max file. I doubt many of us have a *cough* legal copy of it lying around, it being about £3,500 Stg and all that.
