Ok I've set up 2 student accounts so far ( AIB and Bank o ireland)

But of course I forgot to ask when and how my free stuff will arive assuming that they just send it to ya without question!

So here is the deal, one bank (AIB) I already had a account so they just updated that does this still mean I will get my free stuff ? (I really want my free stuff!)

Bank of Ireland said nothing about free stuff at all!

Does this stuff arrive in the post or do you get confirmation to go pick it up ?

How do I get my free stuff!!!

Went in today to do this cos I wanted to get the grant etc so I asked set one up in AIB and the way it works is that they give you vouchers and some things are not free. You either get a phone and some credit for 100 euro or 50 euro free credit .You can also get a disc man if yo uare willing to send off 50 euro for it. Either thing is in this booklet and forms have to be filled and and you need stuff from the college or where ever you aer going.Go to AIB and find out .

No no I've already made the accounts!

I upgraded from a teen link account in AIB.

Was might impressed with bank of Ireland they sent me into a office where I waffled on about the leaving cert to some bank person :D

The offers are pretty poor this year with AIB.

No Free phone like last year. This time (as mentioned) its a ton up front for some siemens muck phone or €50 call credit free.

Last year was a watershed for free stuff galore.

there's also a sony discman (which looks quite impressive) for like €55! i reckon that's a pretty good deal! afaik, the phone is just cheap, not free like last year. there doesnt seem to be much point giving out free phones this year anyway, as most people would probbly have a phone by now, am i right?

Another thing, that sony discman that AIB are offering will play CD-RW discs - great for those of us with CD burners - just make a CD of your favourite stuff and record over it when you get tired of it :)

I know a fair few people that never got a phone last year because the demand was too high.
AIB probably decided not to offer free phones this year because of what happened last year.
Anyway, it was with Meteor. And well they're crap.
    Who's it with this year?

Vodafone. I got it. its a Siemens C45 - quite a nice phone, but I generally like siemens phones anyway. You pay 99 euros, and it comes initially with €60 credit and they give you the other 40 around the new year, which is a bit smelly.

That's what meteor were supposed to do last year but they only gave me €30 of it.
I think a lot of people were in the same boat.
Scabby bastards should just give it all upfront.

I got the meteor one last year - a phone call sorted out the missing credit.

Yes, you still get the free vouchers when you upgrade your account as I know someone who did this and recieved them in the post several days later.

so if you open an account , do you just get like 0 euro 087 credit for nothing or what? do you have to buy a phone or something?
