Jeez what a pricely sum for a ringtone, I could have made it for you at the boards bash ;) (for the price of a tequila of course!)

I think this would be better in Wireless or something but would even better be placed in Afterhours as you will get more feedback. Sorry Monty (best Mod etc etc!) if it's in the wrong forum.

TBH, I dont think you can with siemens phones.

You can - but only if its a ringtone specifically for siemens phones. Most ring tone sites / phone lines only cater for nokias and compatibles.

    ffs.
Ummm sorry but that's what you're meant to do. Siemens have capability of you creating your own ring but you have to type it in note by note, space by space. They ain't great phones (better than my panasonic though!) they don't have installable ringtones or logos.

You'll need to get someone that understands what the feck each letter means...

If I remember 'p' means space... or was it sharp... or flat.... hmmm

Good luck ;) (type it up here and we'll see if we understand it.)

Well have to say installable ringtones or logos do not a great phone make. My Siemens s25 (3yrs+ old) battery has almost given up the ghost and I've had to borrow a Nokia for the past two weeks, and the longer I have it the more I dislike it. For one the phone keeps unlocking the keylock itself and rings numbers itself. Something I've heard other nokia owners complain of before and never understood it till I borrowed this phone. I never had that problem with the Siemens.

Also the theres no automatic keylock on it. On the siemens once left idle for a few minutes (user defined) it could lock the keypad. This is such a useful feature in an office I really don't think I could get used to a phone that doesn't have it. Some stuff on the nokia is better but in general I find its a pain in the rear to use.

As for ring tunes, well I used to work in an open plan office with about 200 people. I'd say 80% of the phones were nokias and they all sounded the same because everyone uses the same tunes. A Team, Star wars - yawn....

It depends on which Siemens mobile u have.
If it's one of the latest models they can certainly get tones via SMS, I guess there's an option in the message options to use it as a tone.

If it's an old model you're screwed I guess, u have to put in the tones note by note on models like the M35 and C35.

Teletubbies theme tune. Purely on the basis that no-one else will have it, making it easy to tell when it's mine (I also like the Teletubbies:))

Now I'm not in an office any more the phone just goes "ring ring". Better all round and it may just save my relationship (GF = not a fan of tubby custard)

Unfortuately the worst culpits seem to be parents of very yound children. Those kids show tunes seem to be impossible to resisist.

There must be some info on the O2 site? I know for sure you can receive a ring tone on the newer siemens as easily as you could do it with Nokia, you shouldn't have to enter it note by note...

And on the subject of ring tones, does anyone else find those Sony polyphonic ring tones really irritating? Sounds like you have a fairy in your pocket.

    Go here
    http://www.my-siemens.com/MySiemens/CDA/Index/0,2730,HQ_en_0_page%253Ahome,FF.html

They allow you to purchase ring tones and screensavers or if the phone is new they will allow you two free ring tones or two free screensaves or one of each.

They send them to you via sms and the C45 will allow you the option of "Save Sound" or "Save Bitmap" depending on what it is.

I know it works because I now have the theme to "Mission Impossible" ringing away on my phone :) And yes I do have a C45 ;)

Oh? Ok, sorry, I think I should put something in my sig saying "Don't listen to this persons post if it involves technological matters, it will disappoint you... it will." or words to that effect. Hope it's sorted now Tilt. :)

As for Nokia, I've never had any problems but I guess - different strokes for different folks.

Do the new Siemens have the same input system as in C3(1/8) D3(1/8) C3(1/8) Gis2(1/8) etc.?
If the new phones retain the old system and have downloadable tones it may make it easier for us owners with the old models to get newer tones online.

    beat me to it!
you can also register using a different number but still send the ringtones/logos to your own number.
just use a mates number, then get him to forward you tin code.
afaik you can do this as many times as you want (i've got 4 ringtones & 2 logos so far)
unfortunately most of the ringtones there suck!

i dont think the c45 has a composer, you can only get messages sent to it
