They used to have one at carphonewarehouse.ie, but I guess the Irish market isn't important enough to them, so they no longer host it.. :(

    Just to add an update...

I phoned vodafone yesterday about when the 7210 will be available from them here. Girl on the other end of the phone said 'err... probably christmas. Maybe later.'. I pestered her to check if there was a firmer date available, apparently there isnt...

So then.. does anyone know just when vodafone plan to release the damned thing?

    Dear Mr. XXXXXXXXX,

Thank you for contacting Vodafone with your query. Please accept my apologies for the delay in dealing with your request.

Unfortunately, we have no information on when the 7210 will be available for purchase.
Your local Vodafone agent may be able to supply you with some more information, however. They will also be able to tell you how to migrate to a Postpay account.

Thank you for contacting us via e-mail, if you require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on readytogo@Vodafone.ie or call save 1850 20 87 87 between 8am-10pm.

I know last week that O2 in the UK announced they were delaying its launch due to software issues encountered in testing. This may or may not be the reason for the delay here too.

    As you'd say - ho hum :(

I have one about 2 weeks now. I bought it sim free though (For €555). I have a mate in a phone shop, reckons at least a month to 6 weeks after Nokia releases them here which would make it early to mid December, but vodafone rarely introduce phones mid-month (might make execption for xmas though).

As they don't have in built camera - they won't be part of the vodafone live range so he estimates price at about €339 - €379 with contract, and apparently they're down to €539 sim free now.

    Some Bad points :

No email client (no pop mail feature).
Can't include sound in MMS ! and only 1 picture.
64kb limit for apps, so some games aren't suitable.
    No voice recorder.
New pop-port connector, so it's not compatible with standard nokia headsets, and they one that comes with it has the mic about 2 foot down the cable which I thought was a bit silly.

Also I've heard that the camera doesn't display an image on the phone until after you take the picture which is a bit of a bummer, but I'll confirm this when I get my camera (b4 the weekend I hope).

eh, otherwise I like it, and it looks cool !

They are available to buy sim freenow in the carphone warehouse,
    539Euros.
Very nice looking phone, just about the perfect size.
the first nokia fashion colour phone. ( for all you man-tarts) (joke)
Buttons are a bit strange to get used to though!!
    njoy

What i found about the 7210
    Removal of Nokia 7210 Handset.

With immediate effect T-Mobile UK is withdrawing the Nokia 7210 from sale.

T-Mobile UK has withdrawn the Nokia 7210 from sale due to continued instability of the handset.

Technical reasons for withdrawal of the Nokia 7210 are as follows:
    · Radio interface freeze where the handset appears to be functioning normally but cannot receive or make calls (particularly noticeable when GPRS is activated)
    · Intermittent software crashes
    · High level of picture message delivery failures

Customers experiencing the above issues may return their units back to the point of purchase, where they should be managed under the standard returns procedure.

T-Mobile will review a re-launch of this product in January subject to the satisfactory solution of the technical issues.

Other than it's lack of features and high price, I have no complaints.

No faults or bugs to report. Although the picture quality with the camera is just absolute crap.

DO NOT buy this phone if it's for it's camera feature.

tbh the 7210 does not have a camra built into the phone so are you talking about the 7250 or the external camra u can get with the 7210

tbh the 7210 does not have a camra built in

I'm talking about the 7210 with the camera accessory.

I have the phone about 4 weeks now, and got the camera a couple of weeks ago. I like the phone but the camera was a bad buy.

As I said : Do not buy this phone for taking pictures
