Just what sort o visa or the like will I need?

I intend to work for the time I'm there...*hopefully* something that will lead onto long term work.

Can I get a student visa or what will suffice?

Also, where do I go about applying for a visa in Ireland??

Help is much appreciated as I have in or around 6 weeks to sort things out!
