    here lads,

trying to connect three mobile phones to a pc so that the computer can receive the text messages from each one. Only problem is that the nokia sdk can't seem to recognise individual phones. Anyone know how i'd get around it?

    cheers...bats

Try grabbing the some identifying property from each phone (such as a combination of SwVersion, HwVersion and ProductCode) when the ShortMsgRecieved event is executed. Might work.

Given this, the Nokia SDK wasn't built for multiple connections. You'd be as well off using a GSM modem that supports multiple SIMs.

thanks TC, the Nokia SDK seems a bit basic alright. WOuld you recommend any multi-sim modems off the top of your head?

hmm, still can't seem to track down any multi-sim modems on google. Although that could be moreso my ineptitude. Any help?

    Much appreciated...

I've no clue how they work or what they do, but Maplin have dual-sim adapters for a number of Nokia handsets.

BTW, if you're willing to switch OS and dump the Nokia software, a program gnokii under Linux (or any UNIX with a serial port) can almost certainly do what you're after. There's also an outside chance gnokii could be beaten into work with Windows but the odds are you'd have to be a bit of a programmer to make it happen.

thanks longword, was thinking about gnokii alright but haven't had a proper look at it. Bedtime reading!
