    The British Mountaineering Council do good cheap travel insurance for extreme sports.

    For example the Alpine & Ski package covers you for
    All Travel, Trek, and Rock activities are covered plus: American Football, Boxing, Cycle racing, Gliding, Hang Gliding, Martial Arts, Mountain Biking, Paragliding, Power Boat Sailing, Rugby Union, Rafting, Rugby League, Sand and Land Yatching, Shinty, Sports Parachuting, Scuba Diving, Water Skiing (including jumps), Winter Sports including Ice Skating and the following skiing activities: Cross Country, Dry Slope, On-Piste, Off Piste, Telemark, Nordic, Downhill, Touring, Ski-Mountaineering & Snowboarding.

    If you wanted this for 24 days in Europe it would cost you 64.50 sterling. That includes membership to the BMC for a year. Membership in mandatory and you have to be resident in Ireland or the UK.
