That is the guy who used to do the local Waterford newsletter for Local Ireland. I think I've indexed about 15000 Waterford pages and this one isn't that weird.

Its not that wierd just one mans vision, and rather too much of it on a single page! I'd say if you were some 4th generation Waterford-Nova Scotian and you hit on this site you'd be facinated
for hours...and thats the magic of the web, y'dont know what you'll find next.

This has inspired me to do a google on Waterford...

    Mike.

I was going to put a Waterford directory together. However I think that most people just use the search engines. The basis for it will be the ODP (www.dmoz.org) directory stuff. [1]

The problem is that most of the ODP info is either wildly inaccurate or wrong or the sites no longer exist (eg waterford-guide.com). it should take a day or two to clear the dataset though and integrate the Waterford sites from Whoisireland.com. A simple deadheader script would clear them out.

The good thing about waterfordireland.com is the search engine - it is filtered unlike Google or any of the other search engines so that it only has Waterford, Ireland related sites. (I would have to say that. ;) ) However a good search engine/directory site would put Waterford ahead of any other county in Ireland. As the site says: Waterford - Ireland's First City.
