Cable modem for NTL

    Hi,
I'm going to get the NTL cable internet that they offer in my area.

Can I use any cable modem to do this? NTL reccommends a particular one but I want to share my connection with 3 PCs in the house. I was thinking I'd need a cable modem with a router. and plug that into my hub. Has anyone tried this?

Failing that I can use the neat connection sharing features of windows XP (man its so easy) and have one pc on all the time. Thats what I currently do with my aging modem.

    Also

No thanks. I'll connect it myself.
