That ad is possibly one of the most annoying on TV atm:)

My personal favorite at the moment is Lilt parody of the Glaser directed Levis Odysey commercial.

I used to love the old Tango ads - the exploding orange guy, and the chap without the legs saying "morning" really pervy like. They were ace - "He's french Ralph, anything can happen".
Lately, I like the Xbox ad with the baby flying through the air and getting gradually older and older and then flying into the coffin.

Seen it on TV3 Dustaz, about 3 or 4 times now. Don't know what I was doing watching TV3 though. Its usually either sky 1, bravo or MTV2 for me.
TV is pants at the moment though. Well, I guess it is the summer after all. I used to hate the summer when I was in school because it always meant that 'The Den' on Net2 was over and all the cool cartoons were finished.
And then I discovered petrol and it didn't seem so bad any more

What is driving me insane these days is the "hilarious cutups" of interviews done on MTV2 these days.

The one for the fish people. There is a bear fishing, a guy come up to the bear punches it...takes the salmon...they have a bit of a fight then the guy kicks the bear in the balls and runs to a car and they drive away .... always though that was the best ad

Ford Puma addvert several years ago, where they did a digital on Steve McQueen, mixed it in with film footage of Bullitt and took the theme by lalo schiffren (the film version) to play in the background. Very very snazzy.

Detest Vodafone ads, and that Siemens ad. Anyone familiar with satellite channels will also hate those loan and finance adverts

it got taken off the air in the UK. the ITC deemed it to be unacceptable because it was portraying some **** or another happening to the person flying through the air. that's the ITC for you. it's one of my favourite ads ever. i like the current Tango ads, the commentary is great

i love the volkswagen beetle ad with the Aqualung song. its beautiful. oh and the lexus ad with the martin grech song.

on the funny stakes i really like those clarkes ads with the kids. and the "shut up and drive" ad. that kid is EEEEEVVVVIIILLL!!!

although the winner has to be the Lilt ad. The bit where she stops to move the table is quality!

Durex ad when some guy goes to meet a girl and the town is deserted apart from him walking down to meet her, all of a sudden loads of blokes come running down the road like a team of football players who just won the world cup dressed as sperm cells who want to get out, screaming, shouting, running towards the woman while the bloke all of a sudden becomes shocked and a worried look comes over his face

Just before they get to the woman a giant condom ensnares the lot of them and the couple walk off peacefully hand in hand while the sperm cells are trapped, good stuff

My current one is the ad where some guy acquires a pair of finger headphones so he blocks out the world, and his wife leaves him and he doesn't realise it.

The earphones make la la sounds too.

I saw the add once, and It had me crying.

It was for some car with some tarnished, brand spanking new outer shell or some ****e which was apparantly very damage resistant.

Starts off with commentary about the car, it's in this one room, and the conversation rolls onto how impregnable the car is.

These pins and needles fall out of nowhere (Over a great distance) and bash off the car.
Next thing, a wave of nuts and bolts start falling onto it, bouncing off of the car which remains undamaged, closely followed by big tools, wrenches, screwdrivers etc
Suddenly the conversation goes on about the people who built the car, and some bloke with a yellow construction workers hat falls out of nowhere with arms and legs flailing like a mad thing. He bounces off the bonnet, gets up and walks off shocked.
Then a whole ****ing street full of people just rain down on the car and bounce off it (I dont mean *Boing* bounce, I mean *BASH* bounce) stand up and walk away shocked.

Can't remember the name of the car or the add but I was on the floor. It was the most peculiar and funny looking thing I'd seen in an add.

My fave is the Dr Pepper one where the girls dad attacks the boyfriend,and she comes down to see the father seemingly unconcious and the boyfriend holding a poker over him:D I also like the one for either Carlsberg or Henineken.This guy is chatting up a girl when his girlfriend(a real ride altogether,better looking than the 1 hes chatting up)notices him.Knowing shes going to throw drink over his head he swaps his beer for somebodys coke and gets doused with it but still has his precious beer

RTE used to have an add a while back showing various Irish people like, oh, Apres Match gang, Fair City people, Dave Fanning and had Luke Kelly singing A Song For Ireland - very nice

The one with the guy that looks like one of the characters from the potato people, that used to be on bosco.

Starts off showing him looking at the neightbours TV through a window/pair of binoculars. Then somebody gets in the way, and in his dub accent procedes to get a ladder, chanting "I'll show ya".

There is another version with him ringing people, asking them to call him back. But it's not as funny.

There only ad that i ever saw that i felt sorry for was one on Tarrant on TV. Another great ad was a Japaneese one for Toyota. It was for air conditioning and it had a view of a woman's chest sitting in the car and she turns on the cold air conditioning ..... ill let you think of what happens next

Those Oz road safety campaigns make the ads on Irish and UK
telly look very weak, the one I remember is the one where a
middle-aged couple are shooting the breeze with, I think the postman who remarks that "some kids died when they turned a car over during the night" down the road and the man says to his wife something to the effect of "bloody kids have no sense on the roads", of course it turns out to be thier "child" who was killed.

As for humour I liked the old "Bugger" campaign for the Ford Explorer 4X4. The Outback sprite ad is good too.

Funniest ad ever, good few years ago now...

Snikkers ad, NFL guy gets hit really hard, coach runs up to him.. 'Are you ok?' 'Yeah!' 'Ok, who am I?' 'Coach!' 'Where are you?' 'The superbowl!' 'And whats your name?' '.... I'm Batman!'

Then cuts to the bench, with this guy and another massive black guy sitting beside him. First guy has a towel over his head, and he smacks his hand down on the other blokes thigh.. 'Hello good citizen of gotham, would you like to be my assistant? Would you like to ride with batman?'

Nearly has me in stitches just thinking about it

My favourite ad for sheer fun is the Bible Songs one.
All these fundamentalist Christians are singing songs of praise to Jebus. These great hits such as "Celebrate Jesus Celebrate" and "Our Lord is an awesome Lord" all come on one album. This album is soo good you can't even buy it in the shops, so dial that number now and order it.

I don't really watch ad's much, I usually change the channel

The new John SMith ones are brillant. The one where your man is diving, I saw it in the pub the first time and everyone pissed themselves. And the most recent one, where all the guys are doing these mad skills with a football and yer man just fcuks it away. Class.

And the one doing the rounds in the Omniplex in Limerick atm. This one walks into a drycleaner and says she has found the perfect guy with the initials JC. "Become one with Jesus." Gets me everytime.
