    Hi
Could someone please roughly explain the different hib classes to me plz, as my little doac manual doesnt tell me anything really.

Once I know the different class's , I can go find out more info on
the one I like before I start playing . As I dont realy want to
start playing a char that will turn out something , I dont like
or was not what I was looking for.

Or even explain it in terms of chars in another realm
ie. A champion is similar to a Albion palaidin etc

I hope this doesnt seem like im doing the lazy option here
but i only can play in a LAn cafe so ,it realy costs me a fortune
to play already , thats way I dont want to be drawing up a few
chars before I find the one i like. I already have a char on Albion
Excal so I know the game layout , stats etc.

And I wanted to join a good guild on Hib/prd , could anyone help
me with a good name or url site name, where I could ask them
and /or see what their like.

    Thanks once again in advance

http://udel.edu/~trevor/camelot/index.shtml is a good site for a general over view of all the classes in camelot and there's links to all the decent char guides as well.

If u wanna get power leveled by people 5 levels above you and being ASKED to group, pick a bard, problem with bards is you tend to stop leveling once you reach lvl 40 (bard NEEDS higher levels to power level him) and in RvR you whack on speed spell and taxi everyone, not much fun but you get easy realm points.
If you pick a tank (hero/champ) you will get an easy ride when it comes to leveling, tank + healer = fully effective group. But fi your a tank, in RvR your mere fodder, you wont kill anything (not literally,u'll get a few greys, hehe) and your only use in fort raids is sitting whackign a door for 5 mins while being ummled by the fort's defenders.
U want someone who SUCKS at leveling but dominates RvR, go nightshade, when you get to lvl 50 and have 50 stealth (you need this for shade's) you will be the most annoying pile of scum on the face of the earth to enemy realms :)
Or you can go for ranger, hes better at leveling, and probably best class for fort defence (except maybe eldrich) and in skirmish's you will be up there with shade's (shade's specialise in fort attack tho). Hiding at the enemy realm gates as a ranger is also great fun at lvl 35-40, you will be picking of gren's and blues without them ever knowing your presence. (MAJOR problem with rangers is money, your arrows will sap half your money if your an archery ranger, so you will need a god guild for cheap equipment or else prepare to be wearing green con armour half the time {speaking from experience :()
Then there is the warden, sub standard healer, sub standard tank. An all rounder, if you get your blade turn well up, groups will beg you for grouping. In RvR your just a healer that wont die in 2 hits, and if some green starts kicking your shin's he wont beat you (unlike a certain midguard healer, hehe).
Druid follow a similar role to wardens, except they cant tank aswell, can get a pet (a waste of spec points IMO, wouldn't advise you to bother) but most importantly - have insta heals. In RvR they are similar to wardens, except without the mighty bladeturn (aka: the bubble). However druids are better healers and have more buff's than a warden, but get less spec points.

My favourite class is ranger (my 1st and highest aswell) but the choice is yours.
I was in the guild 'guardians of somnaire' on pryd hib, so if you want a friendly bunch and some cheap equipment,u could try them aswell.

Thanks guys for all the help

That site looks good and im looking into the differnet classes
    their now so thanks

And thanks too pugsley it always better to hear about classes
from people who play them , rather than general opinions
Rangers sound good , as a class I could Rvr with on my own
as my main is a 4X Merc And its sometimes vhard to go out
    soloing :(

I might also go for your version of a Merc , blademaster ? just
    to see how they play.

    Again thanks guys

Bladesmaster, knew i forgot someone :)
Dunno what the merc is like, but bladesmasters dish out damage fast and die even faster, you NEED a go healer with you, you will do LOTS of damage and get all the aggro, and you aint gonna last long. Solo'ing requires more downtime than other tanks. And in RvR you will get nuked/archered to death before combat starts.
Good if you like a challenge, and totally rips fort dors down, but not very efficient at anything else realy. However if you want to be diffrent, pick a blades master, furbolg for races, and add 15 to strength, and dual wield blunt weapons! very funny, and totally mutilates any shelled creatures or albion platemail wearers, IMO bluntsmaster is better than bladesmaster :)

K thanks all for your Info

Ive decided to go with a magic spec , as that class seems
interesting and I like to blow stuff up and coming from
duel weilding maniac Id like to use my Int for a while.

So my next question is for any Eldrichs out their
should i go void line or mana line??

    Elf or lurikeen ?

Im thinking of going Elf for the Int bonus and specing
10 Points to Int, 10 to Con, and 10 to Dex
with the con for that extra hp
    Does this sound ok ?

Do i put points just into one or do i put some into a secondary?
    Any info much appreciated

    Thanks again all.

Elves have higher intelligence which is your mana pool, while lurikeens have higher dexterity meaning they can cast faster. These benefits are only minor and with equipment you will be able to maximise your stats whatever you decide. In RvR elves would generally be picked off 1st because they are the most common choice as a caster. Really you should pick whichever you prefer, I have a mentalist and an enchanter, both lurikeens=]

10 into con/dex/int is a good way to go, or you could go 15/10 dex/int ... my thinking on this is that you are always going to have low hitpoints and your primary stats are mort important. As a caster you shouldn't be getting attacked unless you are soloing.

For levelling I would suggest going full mana if you will be grouping all the time. The reason for this is the PBAOE. In a proper pbaoe group you have the potential to outdamage anyone in your group by as much as 5 times. With the emergance of PBAOE groups mana elds/chanters are very popular in groups. Now that respec is in you can respec to what ever line you prefer when you have reached you thether at levelling ... or if you reach 50:) these days afaik light is considered to be the strongers RvR spec line.

For solo'ing - take void spec, the nukes are brilliant.
For grouping take mana spec, for reasons mentioned by osiris. Best thing about mana tho is in fort defence, if you have 10 enemy tanks trying to chop down your door when your inside, a few PBAoE's and they go BOOM! :D (at lvl 50 is does 350 damage to a lvl 50 middie troll, it kills them in 5secs, you can cast it in 1 second at lvl 50....)
Take mana spec, much better for damage :)
