    Board Name: Web Development

Description: A forum for the technical side of building and administrating a website.

    Private Y/N: N

I know we have a web design forum, but web design and web development are quite different. Web design is focused more towards graphic design, Flash and HTML whereas web development would focus more on server side programming languages. PHP, Perl, JSP, ASP et al and databases such as MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Thanks for taking the time to read this guys.

sorry to be the voice of dissent but... er, we don't have a "web design" forum actually, - we have a 'webmaster' one, and it covers all aspects of web design and development.

It isn't exactly swamped with traffic as it is, so I, for one, don't see a point in making any further sub-divisions and splitting off a new forum.

Bard, I was referring to webmaster as the "web design" forum. Sorry though, I should have been more clear. Ah sure, it's no problem lads. Just an idea I had although the words "lead" and "balloon" come to mind. ;)

Thanks for takin' the time to read though.
