The only pubs i come up with when i try and think of the area are the Millhouse and Bolands (i think thats what its called, never go in there). Can't place blakes.

yip ur correct about directions....even if u didnt know where it was its easy 2 spot once u go the shoppin center direction.its all gud but the word needs 2 be more spread about it.i go every sunday.

Across the road from the plex. Also across the road from Bolands.
It's if you come straight down the lower kilmacud road and when you get to the lights where Bolands is, take a right and then it's the first left turn. Pings and Papagallo's(sp?) are also in there.
From what I hear the place is crap.
I know people that have gone there and ended up in Club92 or town about an hour after going there.

BTW what's roughly the age group that go there?
And what are the closing hours?
Sounds like it's just like the Mad Hatter or Missing Swan to me.

If you are anywhere near it ya can't miss it, big sign up front etc..

    Mill house is pants!

Blakes is looking very nice I must say, but the eeeeeejits have advertised it really poorly, firstly just by keeping the name, could be a sweet place for gigs but it just needs a crowd oh and be sure to wear your shoes, my shiny white addidas got some dirty looks and warnings from the bouncer :o

    Pints are reasonably priced too

The Millhouse is pretty good alright.
Blakes is shit. I was gonna go in last week but saw the place was empty. Friday nights must be slow or something.

No the place is nice, just seriously lacks a crowd.

Jesus man, you come to Stillorgan to drink in the Millhouse, good taste in pubs

    Is there anywhere else ?

The Millhouse is a nice enough place.

    DONT DRINK IN STILLORGAN! :)

Phillies up by the race course is a very nice pub.

The Leopardstown in serves dodgy pints which taste of beer liner cleaner(a friend of mine got alchohol poisoning after drinking 3 pints).

Er, well where am I supposed to go?
I'll only go to Fillies if I'm going to Club92, it would make no sense to go up there and then into town.
It takes 10 minutes to get to the Millhouse walking and now that the LUAS people have built a massive wall behind my house, nearly about 30 minutes to walk to Leopardstown.
I could go to O'Dwyers, it's the closest, but it sucks.

The only other pub in Stillorgan (excluding Blakes) is Bolands, and well thanks but no thanks.

Not at all, Bolands is the best pub in Stillorgan! :)

Stillorgan is an awful place to go drinking(imo), I Usually just go to town for before and after.

Otherwise if i am staying localish i hop on the 46a and go to Dun Laoghaire, there are plenty of nice pubs down there.

Note on the 40 ft, if you don't wanna get ripped off don't drink there on weekends after six, they jack up the price to 5.20 or somthing ridiculous, otherwise its the usual.

Walters is nice, as is the Cosy.

Sorry i didn't realise you lived so close, but thats still no excuse! :)
I live 5 mins away from the place and i never step foot in the in it.
(i think its a joke the way they have the place layed out, 50/50 modern and old skool.

+last last bus from Dunlaoghaire to Donnybrook isn't until 11.45/50 mon-fri. and depending on what taxi driver you get it will cost ya 7-12 Euro(Takiing a taxi is like playing poker, you win or you lose).

One last note, watch out for all the Junkies down there :p

What is the usual for a pint nowadays though. There seems to be a fairly big price gap between pubs atm. I know a pint of Carlsberg cost 3.65 in my local which btw is cheaper then DCU "student"* bar.

*Student bar my fúcking ass! Pints are 3.90 and i am of the firm belief that the lines were imported from the 6th century:mad:
