Ah, so the spark of the idea is there, you just haven't carried it through.

In your web browser, www.maxtor.com ( I had to ask on another discussion forum before I found out where the maxtor website was)

Then click on warranty information.

Then click on quantum hard drives ata.

Really ****ing wierd how I managed to figure that out in 20 seconds, isn't it?

Maxtor bought them. Just go to maxtor.com and follow the warranty links.
