I would have to recommend Barbados for a honeymoon. We honeymooned there a few years ago and it was the best holiday ever.If you can try and book a hotel called The Almond Beach Club. Its an all inclusive which is extremely high class ie Formal dinner dress, sheet turn down service etc. They also treat you like royalty.
The hotel is not recommended for children under 11 so you actually get some peace and quiet. The almond beach village IS recommended for children so is a bit more hectic than the club.

Heres a link for you. http://www.almondresorts.com/default.html

Avoid Egypt anyway. it might seem like an idyllic place but its far from it... for instance armed guards accompany tourist parties everywhere and are posted at all the tourist sites, plus despite its tourism trade its basically a third-world country.

Personally I hate beach holidays they're incredibly boring.. I'd much prefer New Zealand or a ski resort in the Rockys.

What's the big deal with getting married anyway. This will mean there is one less babe on this planet.:p

Hellrazer, that place looks absulutely fantastic. How long did you stay there? Did you try out the facilities/activities and so on?

Santorini in Greece. Most spectacular sunset in the Northern Hemisphere. There are fantastic cliff top apartments in Oia that are often hired by honeymooners. You're basically on the edge of a massive volcano that's been filled with water. One of the most romantic places I've ever been. If I was getting married, I definitely choose it.

Just back from best holiday of my life. :)

4 nights in Las Vegas (really is Adult disneyland), followed by a week in Maui (winner of Conde Nast Best Island of the Year) and then two nights in San Francisco to break up the trip home.

If you'd like to know more just ask but as far as your honeymoon goes don't restrict yourself to just one place! :D

Sceptre-We actually got married in that hotel/complex.We were there for alomost 3 weeks and their facilities are fantastic.Everything is totally free-drinks,food,watersports etc.
If you are getting married/honeymooning there you are treated like royalty as I said before. When you arrive there is Champagne waiting for you in your room, hot tub is opened for you to relax(even if it is 2 in the morning)and the kitchen serves food for late night arrivals.I know that these things sound trivial but after a 10 hour flight these little things make a BIG difference.
The watersports consist of scuba/snorkelling,the hotel has an arrangement with one of the local cruise ship owners and you can have lunch/dinner on the boat for something like $10.There is also a catamaran which the hotel owns-great fun that. There is water skiing, deep sea fishing and did I mention all your drink was free.
    ;)

The capital of Barbados is a shoppers heaven.I bought the other half a tag heur watch for something like $500 but got it valued over her at £1200.Gold jewellery is dirt cheap and all the locals have a custom of getting their initials filled into their teeth with gold(like a status symbol).
The island itself is quiet enough but if you want you can find clubs etc.
The other thing is the rain!!!It rains every evening at 7.00pm exactly. You can time your watch by it.Lasts about 5minutes but after it you find that everything is refreshing again.
The people all consider themselves as Irish due to the fact that it was run by Irish slave traders years back and all their parishes are called after Irish names,St james,St patricks,St Thomas.
    Definately recommended.
