Police said Tuesday they have arrested a 19-year-old crew member of the U.S. aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk on suspicion of robbing a woman in her car in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The seaman and another man still at large forced their way into the vehicle of the 43-year-old woman at a traffic light near JR Fujisawa Station at around 11:30 p.m. Monday and threatened her with a gun-like object, the police said.

The woman escaped from the car and was unhurt, but the suspects took the car along with about 80,000 yen in the vehicle, they said.

The police later found the stolen car in Kamakura in the same prefecture and arrested the sailor, who they found nearby

    2Film News
Japanese researchers announced Wednesday that they made a video copy of film footage in Pyongyang indicating the United States conducted germ warfare against China and North Korea during the Korean War.

The researchers, who recently returned from Pyongyang with the video, said the footage includes germ weapons believed to have been dropped by U.S. forces, as well as a confession by a captured pilot admitting to U.S. involvement in germ warfare.

It also records that flies and spiders were dropped from U.S. airplanes to spread epidemics and that epidemic prevention measures were taken by North Korea, they said.

Washington has continued to deny any involvement in biological warfare, but Masataka Mori, the group's leader and part-time lecturer at Shizuoka University, said the video confirms it.

During their visit to Pyongyang and northeastern China from July 26 to Aug 5, Mori and the other researchers were able to see and duplicate the 20 minutes of footage that had been shot by staff of the North Korean national movie studio in 1952.

They also said they interviewed North Korean victims of the germ warfare and leaders of the epidemic prevention activities.

Keio University Professor Takao Matsumura said of the video, "This is the first time I've heard of a video about the germ warfare." He said he thinks the confession of the captured U.S. pilot "is a precious record."

    3Romance and Personals
A 22-year-old U.S. Marine was arrested in Yamaguchi Prefecture for allegedly assaulting two women, the police said. According to the police, Cpl Ray Neal is suspected of punching two women, one is 25 and the other 29, in the face on a street in Iwakuni, western Japan, at around 12:30 a.m.

Neal attacked the women after they ignored him when he tried to speak to them as he was on his way back to the U.S. Marine Corps' Iwakuni Air Station after drinking with friends from the base, according to the police. He was arrested at the scene of the assault, the police said. (Kyodo News)

My God, did anything happen in Japan that isn't the USA's fault?

Oh wait, on closer reading men were arrested on suspicion of commiting crimes. Tell me when the're convicted. Or does Japan (or you) not operate the principal of innocent untill proved guilty.

As for a 50s propaganda film made by the North Koreans, featuring a captured US pilot. Don't make me laugh.

The war is over 50 years, you started it, you lost. Get over it.

Is it time for the American occupation force to leave all of Japan back to the Japanese just like Britan and Australia have done?

Have you seen Michael Moore's film Bowling for Colombine?

The USA was once a nation who's ideas and principles were based on Equality, Freedom and the common intrest of the people of the world.

When the soldiers of the united states fought Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan along side Australia, Holland, Russia, India, Britain, France they were defending these principles.

But the USA's foreign policy has changed rapidly since then,
the US have had a harsh and unfair policy to Cuba with sanctions and embargos,
the US military have trained Pastun and Mujaheddin rebels who later formed an organisation that flew planes into the WTC,
the US have paid billions to Sharon so that he can conduct his terror against Arab people.

The US of today is totally different to the USA that fought in WW2 and defended the principles that the country was founded

    http://www.socialjusticecenterofmarin.org/Issues/US_Truth_Commission.html

The US has supported dictators and murders who have killed many innocent people, some people had socialist beliefs, others were opposed to US foreign policy, and there were also many American citizens who endured murder and torture supported by the US government.

IN 1992, PRESIDENT BUSH granted pardons to six perpetrators of Central American policy. (2) Those he enabled to avoid prison included a former head of covert CIA operations in Central America- another closely linked to the death squads-m a former Secretary of Defense- a former National Security Advisor- and that worm Eliot Abrams, Reagan’s propaganda point man on Central America who denied the El Mazote massacre ever happened. Pardoned for their conspiratorial role in supplying weapons to CIA backed forces attacking Nicaragua and other offenses, Bush declared them to be "good and honorable men" and "true patriots". They were rewarded for their crimes.

GENERAL AMNESTIES WERE issued in El Salvador and Guatemala. The guilty never went to jail. America continues to get tough on crime by the poor while allowing some of Central America’s criminal elite to live contentedly in its midst (e.g. Salvadoran military commanders implicated in the murders of the American nuns and other atrocities are provided sanctuary in Florida).

HAVING SECURED ITS economic domination of the region- and shifting it’s attention to more profitable areas of the world for exploitable resources - the U.S. no longer provides billions of dollars in aid to crush opposition. The politicians so eager to fund death squads will not provide funding for recovery and life. Last years Hurricane Mitch devastated parts of these same countries, with the poorest of the poor in desperate need of help. Though not nearly enough, a proposed $400 million aid package- a pittance in the years of death and terror- has been bogged down since last year in the U.S. Congress. Congress refuses to provide this minimum disaster relief unless it also gets billions in additional funding for the Pentagon & weapons contractors.

ANOTHER U.N. Truth Commission released a report on 30 years of "human rights violations"- in Guatemala. The report holds the American military indirectly and directly responsible for the killings and other atrocities they investigated: systematic murder, torture, rape, and the destruction of entire villages & cropland. This human rights indictment also documents "genocide" committed against the Mayan people and U.S citizens. The report cites the U.S. government as a very willing and active partner in these crimes. The U.S. funded each successive Guatemalan regime and it military apparatus. The report also notes American corporations operating in Guatemala had a direct role in prolonging these atrocities. The United States provided direction and support, while arming and training Central America’s worst human rights nightmare. The report underscores the fact the U.S. knew about the genocide, orchestrated it, and then lied about it to the American people and world community.
    ..............
The US has admitted its involvement in Latin America, but those responsible are immune from the international criminal Court.

    .....
IN MARCH, 1993, a United Nations Truth Commission report was released on what it called "some of the worst and most widespread violations of human rights in El Salvador", committed between 1980 and 1991. The Commission was able to investigate 25,000 of more than 75,000 deaths in this period, and concluded 85% were committed by the Salvadoran military- aided & abetted by its co-conspirator, the United States government. It was the U.S. which funded, trained, advised and supplied the agents of matanza.

A FEW OF THE SPECIFIC crimes cited by the Commission:

*Assasination of Archbishop Oscar Romero, during Mass, 1980

*Rape, torture, and murder of United States American churchwomen, 1980

*Massacre of at least 794 civilians- the entire population of El Mazote,

With a picture of Everardo in one hand and declassified CIA and State Department documents in the other, Harbury revealed the CIA and U.S. Embassy's knowledge and complicity in her husband's torture and eventual murder

US officials are saying that President Bush's visit is in part to celebrate a US success story in which his father was personally involved

    http://home.earthlink.net/~neoludd/MATANZA.htm

Harbury moved the crowd with her own story and the stories of others. Liberal Arts senior Ken Wells expressed the sentiments of many when he said he was "completely appalled by the level of CIA involvement in the torture and killing of Guatemalan citizens." Others, like Liberal Arts junior Lisa Fisher were moved to tears by Ms. Harbury's story.

The Harvard graduate spoke about her legal battles and hunger strikes to obtain documents on the whereabouts of her husband and the other guerrillas being secretly held by the military. While Harbury received support from human rights organizations, the religious community and even the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City and the State Department for years continued to deny any knowledge of secret military prisons in Guatemala. Harbury has been able to prove through declassified documents that the CIA, State Department and the U.S. Embassy knew these secret torture chambers existed and that CIA officers even visited these prisons to gather information on socialists and suspect communists.

Human rights lawyer Jennifer Harbury describes U.S
The more I learn about the CIA, the more frightening the evidence becomes. I am receiving more and more eyewitness reports from people who were tortured throughout Latin America. Some were flown to secret detention centers in helicopters flown by people who were clearly North Americanhttp://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Human_Rights/HRGuatemala_HarburyGx.html

WASHINGTON -- A coalition of human rights advocates says last week's
release of a White House Intelligence Oversight Board (IOB) report
concerning violations of human rights against U.S. citizens or their
families in Guatemala fails to go far enough to prevent further
political assassinations, abduction, or torture in the Central
    American country.

At a July 1 news conference here, Jennifer Harbury, speaking for
members of Coalition Missing, said that while pleased with "certain
frank and honest findings" concerning U.S. governmental practices in
Guatemala, "we feel the report falls short indeed in its findings in
individual cases," such as the 1992 "disappearance" and killing of her
    husband, Efrain Velazquez.

In its own June 28 statement, the State Department said it was
releasing new information previously withheld from the more than 6,000
documents the department declassified May 6 relating to the murders and torture of
    17 U.S. citizens.

There is a tremendous irony that President George W Bush has chosen to visit El Salvador on the anniversary of the murder of the country's Archbishop, Oscar Arnulfo Romero, 22 years ago.

A campaigner against the U.S support for kidnapping and torture and Salvadorean army's death squad war, Monsignor Romero was shot through the heart while saying Mass.

officials are saying that President Bush's visit is in part to celebrate a US success story in which his father was personally involved

No-one was brought to justice and for the next decade, when President Bush's father was heavily involved in Salvador policy, the same police agents would be at the centre of US funded efforts to wipe out the left-wingers.

the US equipped and trained an army which kidnapped and disappeared more than 30,000 people, and carried out large-scale massacres of thousands of old people women and children.

American militray and the CIA the great heros and protectors of Taiwan??

    or

    mere terrorists?

The American Empire: To the American mind, these words sound like an oxymoron. Suggesting to Americans that their country has a compelling lust for political, economic and military hegemony over the rest of the world, divorced from any moral considerations, is akin to telling them of one's UFO abduction - except that they're more likely to believe the abduction bullsh1t story.

China: The communists in China had worked closely with the American military during the war, protecting Americana and British military bases, fighting the Japanese at these points, providing important intelligence about the Japanese occupiers, rescuing and caring for downing Usa airmen. and alongside India helping the Americans and Australians liberate Burma....

So how did America reward China, ?<WBR>

That's right just like the people who died fighting an evil empire, fighting for American freedom in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Guatemala , the Americans gave them nothing no food, no bridges, no water-well, just death!

The ink on the Japanese surrender treaty was hardly dry when the united states began to use the Japanese soldiers still in China alongside American troops in a joint effort against the Chinese government, Taoist Chinese, Buddhist Chinese, Marxist-political groups, and in Taiwan, and in the Philippines.

The USA wanted to secure HongKong all the main ports and railways for the benefit of money and for the benefit of Americans regardless of the cost of innocent Chinese life.

Generalissmo Chang became Washington's right hand man. Generalissimo was as anit-communist as they come, he was an American born client, his men would be trained to do battle with Chou En-Lai, Chinese Confucianists, socialists, and Marxists. This army contained Japanese units and his regime was full of foreign officials who had collaborated with the Japanese and served in their puppet government.

President Truman was out front about what he described as using the Japanese to hold off the communists ( Harry Truman memoirs, 1946-53 published Great Britain 1956 )

In a scramble to get sea ports and money from China the Usa dropped 500,000 troops all over China. A civil war heated up, US troops attacked areas controlled by the Reds directly opened fire on them and arrested civilians. The Americans found themselves blasting a small Chinese village unmercifully wrote a marine to his congress man not knowing how many innocent people were slaughtered ( 1946 Congress record vol 92, part 9 )

The American planes frequently strafed and bombed Chinese troops, and machine gunned communist held towns, but before this the red army had rescued scores of Americans and transported them through Japanese lines to safety. ( New York times Decemebr 1945 )

1946 The Americans began to protest about not being sent home, "They asked me why am I here, said a Marine. "As an officer I am supposed to tell them but you can't tell a Chinese man I'm here to disarm Japanese when we're guarding a stolen railway with armed Japanese!"

1949 The United states aid to the Nationalists amounted to 2billion cash and 1 billion military hardware. Yet the Chiang dynasty was collapsing around in bits. It had not only been the onslaught of Chiangs communist forces, but the hostility of the Chinese people at large to his tyranny. By contrast the large areas under communist administaration were models of honesty, fairness and progress. Entire divisions of Chiang's forces defected to China. The Nationalsit forces head of the US military mission in China, were under "the world's worst leadership".

Generalissimo ( the American born client ) his cohorts and his American men fled to the Chinese Island of Taiwan. They had prepared their entry two years earlier by terrorising and bombing the Islanders into submission – one massacre which took place claimed the lives of 20,000 people ( Flemming, Parade Magazine and Washington Post )

Yet, short of an invasion of the country by large numbers of American troops there was nothing else the Americans could do to prevent Chiang's downfall. Even after Chaing fled to Taiwan the United states pursued relentless assaults against the communist government despite a request from En-Lai for friendship.

Many Nationalist soldiers took refuge in Burma in the great exodus of 1949 to the displeasure of the Burmese government. There the CIA re-grouped the stateless army into a force and during the 1950s a number of large scale bloody incursions into China by America were carried out.

Also years later many Nationalist Chinese were to die under Chiang and Generalissmo, these men are accused of torturing millions.

For a long time Taiwan that was anti-China represented China in the U.N, it wasn't changed until France, South Korea, Greece, Ireland, Belgium actually objected to this horrible position.

    Taiwan!!

    Haha

Read the history from an Aussie, Canadian or British point of view and stop listening to G.Bushes Texan Garbage.

OK laughing boy Let me explain it for you.
In Britain and Ireland and for that matter In Austrailia and Canada too we call Taiwan...Taiwan Not The Republic of China (R.O.C).Or as a Rogue Province as the Peoples Republic Of China (P.R.C) consider it.
To refer to the R.O.C would have unnecessarily confused the point i was making.By the way since you are clearly unhappy with people refering to Taiwan and from the content and nature of your post i guess you would also be unhappy with R.O.C what would you consider to be an appropriate title for "The Island That the rest of the world calls Taiwan"?

Are you challenging the assertation that America is Unlikely to pull its troops out of Japan?Or that to do so would weaken its sphere of influence and probally encourage China to persue its goal of reunification with Taiwan by military rather than diplomatic means?

The only Garbage i listen to is the garbage you constantly spout.
Or to put it more accurately cut and paste from other sources and present in an unintelligible and garbled format.

Ok Cat you have refered to the Rogue Province as the Peoples Republic Of China , but Taiwan is a rouge state a unjust family that has disposed of thousands upon thousands to achieve their means.

China is not solely responsible for this affair, the American militray and the CIa had the largest role to play in many of the battles and massacres.

Americans like to believe Taiwan to be a free and democratic state, but the UN has yet to classify Taiwan as a democracy it has yet to emerge as a democracy.

Would that be because China, as a founding member of the UN has a veto, and has repeatedly blocked attempts to recognise Taiwan?
