I've got an out of contarct Irish Sky box with a UK card now activated in it. I now want to subscribe to Sky again. My ideal solution would be to get another subsidised box from Sky and have it alongside my old box.

But will I have to pay full whack for the digibox as I already had Sky installed before and they won't subsidise you again for the new box?

Are there any installers willing to install a dual LNB on my dish for this type of installation?

I had been dreaming up schemes like this before, and I reckon you could manage it.

First of all - does the sky box need to be in your name - or is there someone you live with who could take out the subscription? Obviously you don't stand much hope if you try subscribe with the same name, same address.

You could also consider buying another secondhand box - Sky will have no problem connecting you up then.

Secondly on the dual LNB - I think you might be best with a quad, btw - I am sure most independent installers would install this for you, though some might ask you to pay something extra. You would most likely need to source the LNB yourself, as they are not readily available in Ireland (check some of the UK websites out). When I was looking at them on the Internet, they were (I think) about £70 inclusive of postage to ROI.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
