definately go. And go to Bulgaria for it. You could buy the place for €20!! i aint messin. I went twice to Bulgaria. Food aint great, but there is this killer Pizza Bar at the top of one of the Hotels in the resort, and the pizza's are great, and cheap, and the waitressess are fantastic.

Beer and Spirits are soo cheap you think you stealing it. But be careful, hookers everwhere, and if you skimp on the hotel, you'll know all about it, toilet=hole in floor, same hole used for shower and sink (i kid you not)

but the people are nice, the place has great instructors, the only really dodgy bit is the flight. So if your afraid of flying dont go, cos, again i aint kidding, you land in an old military base, SAM launchers line the runway!!!!

Plovdiv is the name of the airport you fly into if you're going to Bulgaria. I've been to Pamporovo twice (2000 & February this year), which is an hours drive from Plovdiv. The skiing is great for beginniners and improvers, but if you're advanced then perhaps you shouldn't go there as theres only 2/3 black slopes. Booze is exceptionally cheap and the drinking age is oh, 5 or so. Food: pizzas at the restaurant i went to were great and cheap. Theres a McDonalds up on the slopes. Enjoy.

Fact: Ski instructors are the highest paid people in Bulgaria.

Fact: local Ski'n bars offer a free shot of Tequila with every coke...:p

I take it this means if there is a group going snowboarding that the skiers aren't allowed to go with them? Why don't we throw the skiiing and snowboarding together, Dev how about changing the title of that post to "Ski/Snow Trip Outing" ?

Or is this like a skateboards vs rollerbladers thing, because nothing erks me more :p

Tact, nothing annoys me more either, of course skiers are welcome. (Being an asshole has nothing to do with whats on your feet.)

I'll be getting more active on that front when the Boards Beer is over...

    DeV.

I'm planning on Bulgaria in March if you could wait... Grab the Panorama brochure and check out the hotel with the nightclub, indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc in it! It works out at around 800 quid in total for the trip, accom and ski package.... I think March 10th... but would have to get back to you on that... my email is dave.m.lynch@intel.com if you fancy addin me to the group..
