    Hello everybody,

I have a question please : I have a SuSe Linux partition. I'd like to get online with my US Robotics 56k internal modem, but I can't.

The only help I got from Suse is : write a driver or buy another modem.

Other things found on the net : Winmodem won t work with Linux ...

( I d have liked to know that before I buy the software ..)

If anybody have a solution I d be greatful. ( where do I download the driver, what s the command to mount the modem ...)

    Cheeeeers :)

search for winmodems linmodems in google, and there will a site with a ~ in the address. search the database there for you modem, or try searching with your modems exact name and linux in google.

Em...US robotics modems are unworkable as linmodems AFAIK. i remember searching for info on mine, and had no luck. If you come across something, PM me about it please.

    Cheers
