Is there any easy anti-spam program for an end-user out there ... that well actually works?

    I'd classify working as:

    - will NEVER delete a good e-mail
    - easy to use
    - no delay in receiving your mail (a small delay in receiving potentially spamful e-mail would be acceptable for an end-user imo)
    - you will NEVER actually download the spam onto your computer

    ?

any suggestions? what do u use?

See mailwasher.net it's really good, make sure you turn on teh DNSBL options e.g. spamcop, youll wonder how you did without it, and it's free

    SpamKiller is quite good.
will NEVER delete a good e-mail
Has the facility to add mail addresses that will never have mail deleted regardless of content. No anti-spam prog is 100% but you can also preview the messages (they're only deleted when you tell it to). Based more on content and known triggers than the origin of the messages (though this is offered too)
    easy to use
    - no delay in receiving your mail (a small delay in receiving potentially spamful e-mail would be acceptable for an end-user imo)

    Yes, yes and yes.
