K people , Ive an easy Question for you ... :)

How do I format a linux redhat box to make it usable for
    Windows?

Ive tried a few disks and none seem to work , i know next to
nothing about Linux here so a dumbed down answer would be much apprecaited please. :)
Also if i need certain tools could you please tell me if they are
freeware or shareware , as I cant see myself doing this very often so i dont want to waste money on tools that i wont use .

    Thanks in advance

U need to re-partition the disk. To be honest if you try install win2k it will do it for you. So for with that.

personally id just cat /dev/random > /dev/hda and blast the partition table out of it and start again :)

    Regards

    Alternatively,

    As root:

    > fdisk /dev/hda (or whichever disk)

    within the fdisk program type:

    p (to list the partitions)

    d (to delete selected partions)

w (to write the new partion table and exit fdisk)
