Should there be a separate G.A.A Forum i think so. If bandwith is a problem maybe there should not. The sports could be for F1 Sailing snooker Etc. Like there is a soccer, a rugby, an angling forum and a few more . Should our national sport not be entitled to a forum of its own ? well i'm off to the admin forum to plead our case see ya .

    Regards Culchie Boy.

Culchie if there was the volume of posts to support a GAA board I would support it but there isn't. I mean its the height of the GAA season and there are a handful of posts here. If you take the Soccer board the season is just kicking off in Ireland and the Premiership has a few more weeks before starting and the board is still fairly busy.

If we get a upturn on posts and discussions that warrent asking for a new board I will be the 1st to request it. BTW I was against slipping off Rugby into a separate board.

Eh.... No.. there is (as gandalf said) not enough traffic to make a Gaa board viable. I have seen many, many Gaa boards along my way through the debts of the internet and if boards was to have one it would be useless.

As much as i'd like to see one, i doubt there would be enough people posting on it, sometimes i seem to be talking to my self when posting on this subject.

I know it is a bit late to contribute to this arguement now but I think for next season there should be a GAA forum, even if only as a trial. You cant tell me that you think angling, extreme sports and pro wrestling have bigger audiences in this country than our national sport that has had 80000 people in Croke park at least once a week since around mid july. As I say championship season is just over, and the league does not have as big a following, but maybe next season have a trial for the championship and if it works then continue it into the league. The main reason I had not been posting on the GAA threads was because I only really went into the soccer forum not the sports forum. If there was a seperate GAA one I would definitely be a frrequent visitor.

Its not a case of which sports are more popular throughout the country, its which sports are more popular on boards.ie. Get those 80,000 heads from Croker to buy pc's and sign up as members on boards.ie and I sure you will get your Gaa board.

Traffic on the sports board must be at an all time low at this stage. If there was demand for a GAA board there would be posts about GAA on this board.
There's just a handfull of posts on GAA. So there is no real need for a seperate board.
I dont really see why rugby has it's own board either.
Extreme sports is a different area so maybe it merits its own board.
Wrestling and Angling were both moved from community to here.
IMO sperating soccer from this board to it's own killed the sports board.
