Digibox switching to "Services"

Hi all, I'm having a minor problem (at the momment) but irritating none the less.

Several times this week my subbed Grundig digibox has switched to the "Service" menu, on its own.

Initially I put it down to someone touching the remote accidentally but last night I was on my own in the house and it happened twice, remote was perched up on the TV, 3m away.

I checked my BBC box no problems.

Has anyone else had the problem, maybe a software glitch or is the digibox bushed?

(more bleedin' money I hope not)

    Any ideas
    :confused::confused::confused::confused:

Yep, I've had the exact same problem too. I also put it down to me pressing the remote accidently the first few times - but it's happen about five times in the last week or two.

I've also got a Grundix box, and no digisender in sight!

My epg software is only at version 2.8b for some reason (I've heard people speaking about version 3 and above...).

Try a reset... might also download the latest software too

Glad to know I'm not going gaga.

No, I don't have a digisender and my software version is also 2.8b. but I never take any notice of this as I understand mods can be made to the software with affecting the version number.

I'll try a forced download tonight and keep an eye on it

    Hi :-)

Yep..I've had the same thing happen as well..but being the logical type I just put it down to Poltergeist *G*

Actually, was wondering, if I do a new software download, does this affect my remotes settings cos was a bit of a bugger getting the code for my telly last time I had to. The TV btw is a Blaupunkt.

    Thanks :-)

No, software updates doesn't affect the actual remote themselves, the code is stored on the remote, and nowhere else.
