Does anyone know how to get red alert to un on xp cause it won't even let me install it let alone run the compatability test on it

you have to set the setup on the cd to Win95 or Win98/ME Compatibility mode. It works fine then.

The only problem im having is getting a network game going under XP. Anyone tried yet ?

You have to fiddle about with the network addapter settings(in game)

I have it runing on XP pro fine - no problems, didnt need to tweak anything to get it to run.

I did how ever have to change one of the network options in the 'network' screen from the main menu - to get it to see a lan game.

The origional red alert kinda sucks, I would strongly advise getting aftermath + counterstrike aswell, they work on winXP fine (i had same probs with norm RA) and with normal RA getting y our sound working is a git and it only does 640x480 res (lower i think actually...) which means a construction yard takes up 1/4 of a screen

Should be able to get either of the expansion packs for a on-line for pennies, or you could download them, may be abandoneware, if not download them 'elsewhere'.

I dont have a 'network screen'. I have null modem, answer modem and dial modem, when I click into multiplyer. I have the 2 exspansions aswell..

What settings did you change exactly ?
