    NTL is to offer it's UK customers Premiership Plus for only £1 per month (£10 for the season), this compares to Sky UK's £50 season ticket (£40 if you order before the end of August ). Do NTL have any similar plans to offer such a deal here, perhaps €10 for the season?

    ntl undercuts Sky with Premiership offer

    Customers who have migrated to ntl:home's "Simply Better Digital TV" service - that is, they are subscribed to ntl's new tiers of digital TV (such as the Family Pack) - will be able to get 40 Premiership Plus matches added to their subscription at the price of £1 per month, for ten months (August 2002-May 2003).

    [ntl] analogue customers will be eligible for the £1 per month rate, and will be able to access the matches through Channel 51.

    All ntl:home customers can:

    -Watch 40 FA Premiership matches for £1 per month on Premiership Plus or;
    -Purchase each game individually for £5 per game

    Sky customers who subscribe to Sky Sports can:

    -Pay £40 for a one-off Season Ticket for Premiership Plus until 27 August (after this date the Season Ticket costs £50) or;
    -Purchase each game individually for £5 per game

    Please note. For non-Sky Sports customers, Sky will charge £100 for a Premiership Plus Season Ticket or £10 for individual pay-per-view games.

    Just received details in the door today from NTL. The Prem plus channel will cost €7.50 per match or €80 for the whole season. (Small print is interesting here : "if for any reason beyond ntls control we are unable to show any match, no refund will be allowed")

    That's a terrible price. Don't waste your money on individual games. Get the season. €64 with SKy. NTL probably have similar price.
    Surely you'll see at least 10 out of 40 games then its worth your while

    sure it is if you are getting a good few of the games, but for the casual viewer who may only get a few games it is an excellent price

    Well, as long as NTL get the signal initially, and they can't rebroadcast it, then it's not beyond their control. I'd even consider taking them to small claims court if they tried it.. :)

    That said, for some strange reason last season, they couldn't let me have the season ticket, for technical reasons.

    HI

    Even if they have the offer in the UK they won't give the same offer over here as NTL:uk and NTL:ie are not the same company any longer.

    NTL:ie and Chorus are now own by UPC.

    Regards

    NTL does not exist any longer in Ireland. They won't rebrand till the network upgrades are complete.
