I heard a similar story a few weeks ago where a guy was firing a mortar of some sort at a wedding and the thing stuck and exploded in his hands. Apparently more than 20 were killed including the groom and 9 or 10 children. Ridiculous!!!

Heard about a story in Pakistan where two families fell out over the ownership of a chicken and resolved the despute using handgrenades, ak-47s and rocket launcehers leaving 4 dead and 18 injured....

I fear these people...or what's left of them....

Did an American bomber not kill 17 people in Afghanistan at a wedding because gunfire was close to their airspace at the time? I read that in the Sun... it... must be... true?

The gunfire was traditional celebration for an Afghan wedding.

I read a fact that Afghanistan used to have the largest amount of indirect shootings in the world. This was due to the amount of bullets that had been shot in the air that came down on top of people's heads and knocked them dead. Could be a rumour...

the funny thing is those stealth F117 fighters (bombers if the truth be told - having 2x LGB-15/30 bombs in the bay as standard loadout) were flying low to help avoid what radar they can, while being shot at by the lads ont he ground with their AK-74s and what ahve you.
Brought them down, along with F/A-18s and F-16s
About the only thing not to be brought down was the A-10, basicly cos it's built like a tank - to destroy tanks and can fly with half of it shot to shít.

Mortars are lethal to anyone who uses them.
Trained professionals have been decimated when doing rapid fire. Imagine some Joe Soap messing about with it at a wedding to make some noise.
Treating weapons like fireworks is not advised....

    Funny thogh :)

This is known as a "Lebanese Unload". Horribly indirect way to die :)
