Digital Camera's

Hi All,
i'm thinking of splashing out (well more a little splash) on a digital camera.
my current thinking is:
Fuji FinePix 2600 2MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom

its just going to be used as a general purpose camera - nothing requiring frills/whistles

any one got one/used one/hated it?

I have a sony DSC-P30, 1.3 mpixel camera. It comes with a paltry 4mb memory stick, but I bought a 64mb one soon after

Very nice camera, has 3x optical zoom and 6x digital zoom. The accessories for it are very expensive here in Ireland, but I got some stuff a lot cheaper in New York -

64mb memory stick = $31 over there
Sony infolithium li-ion battery = $30 over there
third-party charger for said battery = $40 over there

The guys in the local shops around here were looking for €80 for the battery alone, ba$tards

I shudder to think what they would have wanted for the 64mb memory stick.

Anyone have a Fuji Digital camera or in particular the Fuji 50i? I'm tihnking of getting one, as one person I know said it was the 'perfect' digi cam.
