    I have a nvidia geforce2 64mb card with tv-out, i was wondering what connection is on the tv out?

    RCA.......... I woulod imagine, this would then go to either a scart connection in to the tv or RF (crappy quality)

    how bad is it? i was just going to use it for dvd and game purposes, i would be using it on a 24" tv

    It's SVHS by default, though there's usually a composite convterter cable supplied (yellow connection). If your TV has a SVHS input use it (It might also be included in your SCART input, though not always, check the TV manual), it's higher quality than composite and perfectly fine for games/movies (it won't stand up against a dedicated DVD player though).
