In the course of constructing a pyramid, a large stone was transported across the desert on logs.
All of the logs were 1 m in diameter.
How far did the stone cube move in relation to the ground with each revolution of the logs?
    (no trick btw)

Twice the circumference of a log because whenever a lot makes a full rotation not only has it moved forward along the ground, but because it also rotates the stone forward by an equal amount

    its probably 3.14 meters
the block moves the same distance as the circumfrence of the log
the circumfrence of the log is dxpi=1x3.14

    =3.14 meters

    hell, is that right?
can i have forgotten how to get the cicumference of a cylinder already?

hold on, so if it moves the same distance as the circumfrence then it is 3.14????
    isnt it?
i dont understand why its twice the circumfrence as snargle said when the log only moves as far as the circumfrence and now im all confused frown.gif
