Was trying to fdisk a 10Gb hard drive that was split into a 3Gb NTFS and 6.5Gb Extended DOS Partition. Couldn't get rid of the Extended Dos partiton as it says there are logical drives configured on it, but when i look at the logical drive info it says theres none!!

So i'm stuck at the moment with only a 3GB HD instead of a 10 GB one. is the disk fooked?

Have you got win2k/nt4 running on it at the moment? If so, try use disk manager in control panel. It may allow you to drop the partition from there.

If you have a linux boot disk handy, boot up on it and fdisk it within linux. It will remove it no problem

The first thing you should do in FDISK is delete the non dos partition(the NTFS one). Then remove any remaining partitions....
