Good luck. The John Hurt movie was released on video in the US (no DVD) and wasn't released on any format over here.

    1. Wait til this Friday - 26th of July 2002
    2. Insert blank video into your video machine
    3. Set video to channel 4
    4. Preset recording for 2.45 am until about 5.am
    5. Go to the pub

    That is all.

Heh, just read the TV schedules for tonight - was coming back here to post that. Nice one Pigman.

Would confuse GF though - she's still a bit anoyed that I've set Channel 4 to channel 6

Actually I must be incredibly slow (though if anyone else wants to admit to it, go ahead). Of course tonight was the optimum night for Channel 4, devoid of a sense of irony, to show a movie presenting the evils of a lack of freedom, where citizens are watched over all the time by an evil overlord, afraid to step out of line, lest the whole of society stamp on them, knowing no better.

At least Davina McCall isn't in it.

(btw kdja, TV3 goes on channel 10:D. And I keep moving Paramount around)

Im guessing that showing 1984 on the same night that Big Brother finished was intentional, it's a bit hard to miss the connection, no matter how stupid you are.
