Last night Pats 3 Ghent 1

Away goal football at its best.
Pats were winning 2-0 nil but you could see Ghent were a far better team and when they scored their goal ,Pats threw caution to the wind and went in search of 2 goals
Got one back in the 90th minute but alas not enough.

But what a game

Pats were brilliant in the second half, they deserved to go through. Who was the guy with the greying hair on the right wing, No. 11? He looked very dangerous.

Tony Bird is probably the grey haired chap, but he's fairly young I think.
The updates were flowing from Richmond to The Flansiro on Saturday night, well done to Pats, but I would not exactly say that Ghent were a far better side, on the balance they just shaded it, and as usual, would fitness not have been the main telling factor.
A couple of summer seasons, and the extra bit of fitness training, and its only a matter of time before irish clubs make major progress in European competitions.

Nah you could see Ghent were technically better ,if we played them mid season when they were fitter,i think the score would have been different.
But Bateman maybe if Pats were a few weeks into the season we might have been better.

*wish our ground was as decent as that
