bios password

    i have a IBM thinkpad 345cs laptop (old i think). there is a BIOS password that i cannot get past. someone please help me!!

    Go search for a program on the net called "KILLCMOS".
    Its a virus so disable your av but basically what it does is resets your bios so you can go back in and set your own password.

    or (if you can find it) you could whip out the BIOS battery back-up before u turn the machine on... Wouldnt recommend this on a laptop however cos u might destroy the machine if u dont know how to take it apart properly.. Its MUCH easier to do on desktop machines... Just thought I'd give u an alternative

    Clearing the CMOS wipes the password doesn't it? Dunno if they have CMOS' in Laptops though :]
