    scsi hdd question...

    what is a dell powerdge server scsi hdd called? the kind that slides into a backplane?

    50 pin or 68 pin?

    I *think* they're 68pin Ultra Wide SCSI. It depends on the model you have though. You'll need to find out what the RPM of the disks are too.

    If you go to the Dell support website and type in your System Service Tag you'll be able to see the docs for your system, the details should be in there. Failing that, phone Dell Part Sales and give them your system tag and they'll be able to tell you what you've got.
