Why don't you talk to the guys in Santry, tarzan? You could probably work here for a while then transfer...

Hobbes, what department/section do you work in, in Boston?

    Al.

lol lotus, omfg, yes just shoot them over a cv and they'll probably appoint you as tech lead on notes or summit.

i have no idea how lotus are still in business with the sort of **** they ship

Butcher at this I'm supposed to refer you to our legal and press offices. tongue.gif (sadly I'm not allowed get into these sort of debates). You sound like u had a few Tech leads applying at your place?

There is a whole range of jobs going from coding to support to marketing, etc.

    WWMan: wink.gif

Tarzen: You would have to apply to the Boston offices and the work is very different then the Irish branch. If your still in collage I know they do take a load of interns from Limerick or Cork (they all sound the same) occasionally for the summer.

If your planning to do it from an Irish company to work abroad you have to have worked with the Irish company at least a year and normally have a certain grade along with qualifactions which they can't hire in the US easily (eg. Specialised skills to the job).

Right Sutty, assuming you know a little about computers, I'll tell you what to do.
Get the yellow pages, go to computers. Get a list of 10/12 small to medium sized co.s who do 3rd party support/on site maintenence. Send 'em off a polite CV and cover letter. The pay won't be great at first but it's the best expierence you can get starting off. These firms can't afford to hang on to their support staff so they are prepared to take anyone with the slightest savvy and train them up. After a couple of months they'll put a car/van under your ar$e and tell ya to get out there and fix that yoke. Do a couple of MS exams or somesuch and within 1.5 - 2 years you'll be ready to get a job doing whatever the fu(k you want.

    Trust me on this.

sutty, ring Cathy Kelly in Compaq Tech Support.(01 214 2351)

They are looking for full time people on a 2 year contract. I would have taken the position if it was temporary smile.gif

Compaq TCSC is in the Belfield business campus, near UCD, so transport shouldnt be a problem with the amount of buses that go out there.
