I actually think this is a great idea.
After Hours is way too spammy these days for decent Pub Culture discussion.

    I support this Product/Service.

Yeah this could make for an interesting read, although you'll be opening the floodgates for DUSTEESPAM (tm) as good aul (emphasis on the aul) Dusteeeeee will have an opinion on every establishment listed, having been there at LEAST three times...

I think I've found my new home, and a real reason to go to all those pubs I've never visited (martyr to the cause and all that)

Its a bit tight, I'd prefer something that covered pubs, clubs, restaurants and various touristy things...

Is "Tourism" too far from the original idea? I'd like something like the Boards Rough Guide to Dublin... :)

I vote 'yes' to proposition 69

Can we break down the pubspy board into different cities or counties ie Dublin, Cork, Galway, Waterford, Limerick etc.

Rough guide kinda plan is a decent idea and not too far from the original. Could it be broken into areas N,S,W E and the pale etc ?

Of course any pub would have to be thoroughly checked out by the community.

It's a dirty job but someone's got to do it. Whehay! Hic!

    Otherwise:

A rough guide to Dublin....... Surely we have to include the other major drinking centers of ireland, such as Cork, Limerick, Galway, and last but certainly not least all those lovely little villages in the country where the pubs actually outnumber the no. of residential housing!

    Could be interesting tho..

Nice idea. And DeV's addition. Maybe something like a "Night Life" or "Social" forum?

(calling it "tourism" will open the drip-gates for Blarney Woolen Mills)

Instead of a board for every pub (which is where this is going )
why not someone start a thread "rough guide to galway" and then all the other ppl from galway add to it .
Then those from outside galway will know where to go and not to go.
    etc etc etc

So what's the story on this ?

Not meaning to be pushy, (all apologies if I seem that way Dev) but how would I get the ball rolling on this ?

Have had a few more ideas on the layout , should I PM them to ya or just post em up here for general pillorying and/or agreement ?
