Am i the only person on earth who watches this programme?

Its like an english version of friends except not as annoying. They are currently re-running the second series on BBC2, Mondays at 9.
Reason im asking is that im wondering if theres any sign of a 3rd series

I was watching it on BBC Prime overe here. Only Series 1 so far though.

I think I heard about S3 being made, but I couldnt swear to it.

Series 1 is about to be / just has been released on DVD I too, think.

It's such a complete rip-off of Friends. Check out the bar where they hangout, it's near identical to Central Perk in layout.

Still, it has it's moments...I won't object to another season.

Admittedly Coupling does cash in on the whole Friends phenomena but in fairness to it does have better writing and some of the situations the characters get into are very amusing and complexly constructed.

Check out the episode where the Welsh bloke pretends he has a prostetic leg to see what I'm talking about. Friends is completly one dimensional and depends entirely on the (so-called) witty comments by the principle characters to cover up the fact that the storylines are very weak.

I'd say that Coupling has reached heights of entertainment that Friends has never matched let alone surpassed.

Except, of course, that they all drink pints instead of coffees since British sitcoms / soaps always revolve around drinking beer, whiel American ones always revolve around coffee.

Also, I think you'll find the bar is back-left as you walk through the door in Coupling whereas it is back-right in Friends...

Yes series three is in the pipeline.

An american network has bought rights to the show and series one is showing over there as part of the fall line-up. It is hoped that it will replace friends when it finishes. Isn't the next series the last or something ?

Personally far prefer this show to friends...

The show has really great dialogue, side-splitting sometimes. I think it's great.
