I am a 30 year old traveler who has spent the summer in Westport (leaving the mid-July). I am looking for room (or couch with kitchen and bathroom access) in Galway for about 2 weeks while I work at the Arts Festival. Must be near public transit stop or walkable to city centre. Very responsible, can provide local references, and will smile greatly if you could help me out. Can pay rent weekly, €100? depending on accom available. Please e-mail me at travelgoddess2002@hotmail.com with info. Cheers, Debra

This doesn't sound very practical commuting from Westport to Galway, try to find somewhere in Galway (may be difficult at festival times). I'm not sure what the distance is, but I imagine it's about 50 miles. It's a 2 hour bus journey (train would be too roundabout) http://194.106.151.88/bin/query.exe/es , although there are about 8-9 buses a day. Look at this thread for suggestions in Galway http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55820

Thanks Victor. I edited my post so it is more clear. I am actually leaving Westport before I head to Galway for the festival. Cheers. Debra
