hi there, anyone else using O2 GPRS and your GPRS connection usage / sessions have stopped showing up?

at the end of april mine stopped, i'm still using it pretty much daily but nothing on the monthly invoice or online account details, just the monthly GPRS package charge, but no sessions...

    anyone in the same boat?

DubWireless. I just bought the Siemens S45, I'm trying to use GPRS. What do you use it for. My phone spends ages connecting and downloading home pages. By the time I get to any real info I've already amassed kBytes of data.
What are some decent web-pages. Do they have a special addess type??

    hi thegill,

good question, started a new thread do you GPRS too? hope it gives you some pointers...

what device(s) are you using to connect?

if your using a Laptop, regular websites will eat your GPRS like crazy. all the layout, content and advertising graphics all add up to the weight or a regular web page, and we know some are slow enough on a regular wired modem... you need to browse light, either by finding mobile or text only version of the site (slowly emerging) which usually cut the graphics, or the PDA friendly version which appears lost in a full sized browser screen but resize it (narrower) down a bit and it's displays better

for the S45 keep an eye on this site, there was a GPRS firmware update for that phone released a while back:
