    Hi all,

Does anyone know if Vodafone are selling Nokia 6510 phones in Ireland yet?

I checked their site, and its not on their main "Pay Monthly" list. It is, however, on their phone comparison list, and there is an information page for it.

methinks I saw a poster for it outside a phone shop today.. in fact I'm almost sure I did. Cant remember which shop tho. Think it may have been Access Communications (Cork)

Hi TmB, looks like Voda have added the 6510 'fully' to their site now:
    Vodafone Pay Monthly: Nokia 6510

As Dizz said, O2 have had it on offer for a bit longer:
    O2 Pay Monthly: Nokia 6510

Damm right is a savage little phone,
Great price on voafone aswell, this phone is an 8310 with a different cover and lights and you dont get a set of earfones for radio. but its exactly the same phone!
but there is almost 100 euro in the difference? wierd?
I work in a phone shop and weve had them for about 6 weeks? but there is no advertising at all for them?
    dont buy 8310, get a 6510!!!

Hey TmB, how is the battery holding out on the 6510, does the radio eat power or what? And has that model got polyphonic ringing. I'm thinking of getting one

Battery is fine, buckfast. I only have to charge it once a week. Haven't used the radio at all (I think its a pretty useless gimmick), but I'm guessing it does wear down the battery alot quicker.

According to Nokias site, the 6510 has a standby time of 20 hours with the radio on, and 100 with the radio off.

Not sure what polyphonic ringing is.. :)

Can't see it mentioned in the specs on Nokia's site, so I'm guessing it doesn't.

    HTH,
    Dave.

The radio is excellent on that phone. Great quality and if you can get your hands on a hands free kit, it makes life real handy. You can be listening to music off your radio, which, let's say is in your pocket, and if someone phones you, the radio shuts itself off, pumps the ringing tone through the earphones and lets you answer/talk through the button-clip type thing which can be clipped onto your collar etc. Then, when you're finished on the call, press the button again and it reverts back to the radio - sweet :)

Cool... I have a handsfree, and I'm taking the train to Dublin tomorrow, so I must try it out!
