    Hi Guys

I've got a ordinary indoor aerial in my attic, and I could receive RTE ant NET2 pretty good but not TV3 or TNG or else vice a versa so yesterday I Purchased an outdoor aerial to see if I could get a better reception in my attic but it was no better that the ordinary indoor aerial,
What direction must the aerial be pointing in to receive a perfect picture on all channels, or must I have to but it outdoors on my chimley( My house is 3 storeys high ) I live in a city so the signal is pretty strong.

    Any help
    Much appreciated

i presume the aerial is the correct one. point it in the direction of the transmiiter and also have the aerial on the correct polarity. have a look around and see what way other aerials in your area are pointing

If you are in Kilkenny you are most likely receiving your irish channels from Mount Leinster. According to this site http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/7225/tvch.html Mount Leinster transmits RTÉ 1 and Net2 on VHF while TV3 and TG4 are on UHF. This means that you will need two different types of aerial.

As Mossy has said your best bet is to have a look around at other houses in your area. You may or may not need a booster to improve the picture, but even without one you should pick up some sort of signal.
