How to reap ill gotten gains?

I currently have my eye on some very liquid planets at the moment. Unfortunately, even though the owner is (sadly

) no longer with us in BNT, the planets are well defended.

Say if a planet has around 2million fighters. What is the minimum spec that your ship has to be in order to defeat this large number. In particular, if the owner torp level is at 0, and the planet has a large number of torps, will any or all be released in defending the planet.

I know that my beams will take at most half of the fighters, so my question (for the time being) is what level of beams can take out 1mill fighters at a pop?

stock up on energy fighters and torps and cloak in and out restocking each time till all defence is gone or low enough for u to attack.

Thats only any good against sector defense, scan the planet if his levels suck, or there all at zero, fill up on energy and attack you'll be fine..

Hmm, that's what I thought, but I still have the fighters to deal with. That's my primary concern. Everything else is pretty negligable.

I think I'll wait until I'm pretty sure I can take the planet. I'll try to review the exact details of the attacking mechanism before I risk my ship again (twice bitten, third time shy
