GAA board in Sport...

I think there is a need for a GAA board because it is really Irelands number one sport as far as the domestic scene goes.

I would like to say that I would like to say that I would very much like to be the mod of this board if it is created. I am very trustworthy and honest (apart from my opinions on stuff of course! :D ). And I have been mod on many other Bulletin Boards before (most notably Dimebag Darrell's official site).

    So what do yez think?

as per usual, if the sport board starts to get a lot of traffic about GAA stuff then we would need such a board. But there are almost zero GAA related issues posted on the board now, or in the recent past..

Yes, but that's what they said when I suggested that there should be a Rock/Metal forum. They said that there is "no need for it as there are not enough to support it", they said that there would be way less posts on it than that of the Dance/Electronic forum... well guess what? They were wrong.

There weren't many posts about Rugby, from what I saw before and now there is a Rugby forum and its alive with posts. Who is to say that a GAA forum will be any different?

Well no in a way... I didn't want to be a mod in the rock/metal forum. I only wanted there to BE a forum for those genres. I knew anyway that AngelWhore would get the job of mod because he is into a much wider range of metal than myself. Plus the fact that I wanted him to be the mod.

However, I do want to be a mod if there ever is a GAA forum because I don't think there is anyone on this board that can possibly be bigger into the sport than me. If there is I'd like to meet them.

Hmmmm - I seem to be having flashbacks about that massive long post I composed on the Mod board about situations like these... Those who have read it know exactly what I'd have to say about this situation, but Im keeping my trap shut mainly to prevent congesting this entire thread with pages apon pages of rantish text.

Boo, down with this sort of thing.

I think we should have a board about kittens. Cos I like kittens, I should be mod. It makes sense. I like kittens, therefor I need a board for it.

Why do you want to be mod so badly? hmm?

:D C'mon its part of our heritage and its one of the most widely played games in this country.

Still doesn't change the fact that it's one of the least talked about topics on the Sports board, does it!?

Just a thought, can I have a table tennis Board made, and be the mod for it!? I played it once before, hence I MUST qualify for modship.

God - My post count just hit my year of birth... Lets make a Post Count Board!

Ahem, before I go too far overboard, I think it's safe to say I don't like the idea. If it isn't a regularly discussed topic on a Sports Board, then I personally dont see it going anywhere on it's very OWN board... Not into sports myself anyway :(

Gordon, can I be mod of your cake board please!?
I mean, Im sure I ate more cake than you in my lifetime, hence no one would be a better moderator than me!

**** that I'll BAKE a new board and become 'King Crumb, Supreme Mod of Much Gibberish!"

    NOOOOEEEEE!!

I suggested it I SUGGESTED IT!!!

I'll make you co-mod if you give me some cake tho ;)

Fair enough... you said it. How exactly do you qualify to be a mod? Go on tell us then...

And obviously someone hasn't been reading any of my posts. Read them again before you start taking the piss. And if the board isn't successful you can put it in the recycle bin. Simple!

Well, obviously to become Mod you have to be proficient in the Amp test, but - sure you knew that.

I read your posts again by the way, and I still like cake :)

Little touchy there Pornapster? Not a mod quality, sorry.

And I still like kittens. Plus I make better cake than yous, so we should combine the kitten and cake boards and make one supreme board and I will be mod, because I want it.

I read your posts again, and I still choose to take the piss :)

I got it! I got it! I got it! I GOT IT!

Lets make... Wait for it! Let's make the Cake and the Kitten the moderators, and we can eat them both... Even Jeffy the kitten!

No even better, lets bake kittens and watch the cake eat them...

*ahem* *cough* What makes a moderator!?
I've said one thing before many a time, and that is a suitable moderator would never "ASK" to be one in the first place!
