I saw it over the weekend, here in Chicago, and its.........ok. The star of the show is definetly the Scooby/Shaggy double act - the actor who plays Shaggy does an especially good job. The people doing Fred/Thelma are pretty good but Sarah Michelle Gellar wasnt all that great as Daphne.

Typically the film is weak on plot, but thats really not the point of it.

Just a fun, turn-off-brain, popcorn movie.

Anyone know when it is on release here? I want to go see it: I know, I'm a very sad man!

Mid July (about this time, next month).

Shaggy is played by Matthew Lillard, and he is supposed to be perfect for the role.

Looking forward to it myself. Looks like good fun.

    2 words, Buffy and Miniskirt.

think this is more of a 'wait till video' job tho.

    Buffy and miniskirt. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Anyway, i hear it's not quite as bad as it could have been, and that Matthew Lillard is very good in it. I'll go see it, but only because i'll go see anything, even Showgirls (for the acting).

yep, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy was excellent. I think hes in Scream, what else is he in???

And im afraid Buffy was dire in the film, but then you're not goin to see her acting....

Matthew Lillard was also in Hackers...

He was in Dead Man's Curve, a good movie with an insane number of twists.

They chose a rather good looking girl to play Thelma. The universe as we know it is distorted!!!

Lillard was also in Thir13en Ghosts, released earlier this year. Not a fantastic movie, but not bad either..........

i have it mostly downloaded so ill take a look when i get the chance. From any clips i have seen... shaggy is perfect... should be since your man has done the voice in a lot of the cartoons.. at least IMDB has him down for a few of them.. probably the more recent ones..

hmmm....I wonder if they do the traditional ending "...and I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you blasted kids!" - complete with the unmaskings.

Yes, they do that line several times but the best has to be the one towards the end with a wicked twist to it that'll leave you in stitches.

Dont worry, i wont spoil it for you.

Out in the UK 12 July so hoping for a preview on the 6th. Anyone who's seen it: is Scrappy as annoying as always?
