Where would i buy a good quality electric razor in Dublin. At this stage i am pissed off with the hassle of wet shaves and i am in the mood for an electric.

What make/model should i go for. Braun, Philips, Remmington, or other. Oh and experiences with any of the above too would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I currently have a Remmington Intercept Sensitive RS7830.

Decent shaver and it wasn't in the stratospheric price range of some of the high ned philishaves and Brauns.

3 cutting heads - 2 foils and a cross cutter

    1 sidelock/long hair trimmer.

where did you get it from leeroybrown?

It was over a year ago now so theres probably newer models out:

But it was Boots, they generally have a pretty good selection of shavers. I was in Limerick in the time and checked the prices in a few other places and they seemed to be pretty competitive. I'd presume their Dublin stores would have an even better range.

Does anyone else know anything about a good shaver?

Its just that i have to go out and get it this morning as i have to leave Dublin and return home.

I use one of those rechargeable/electric philishave models(cant think which model it is as i'm in work now:) )....expensive one, cost about £160 i got from argos 2 yrs ago.
It still works a treat, hasn't died on me yet, still sharp on the shaving, 3 cutting heads & has built in cutter for sidelocks and can be washed after use with no affect on shaver...all round satisfied with it.
Its still worth a buy to get the expensive models as they do last :)

Speaking of shaving ..... anyone tried that "total shaving solution" ive seen advertised on telly. It says you only need to wet your face and use 3 small drops ..no foams or gels

I used a sample the mother picked up.
Wasn't all that impressed. Wasn't all that dissatisfied either.
Didn't feel any different after it.

got a Braun some years ago.. Very nice close shave. The parts are shockingly expensive for it tho. Had to replace the foil part that covers the blade a few months ago - cost something like 20 quid. Much better than all that hassle of wet shaving tho, and it doesnt make complete shyte of my skin like an old fashioned razor does (and yes I shave up and down, not side to side)

Tried the total shave, tis ok very nice soothing avtershave effect. But then again i`m just a lad who has more hair on his big toe than his face.

Buy a Philishave. I bought mine on June 11, 1993 and it still works very well. I hope this helps.

    Philishave Nivea Coolskin Shavers.

Class shave and not too expensive. Moisturiser or something in it too so no shaving rash.

Can get 'em in Power City
