Would anyone agree with me that the new Korn video, can't remember the name of the song, is a complete rip off to the "Welcome to The Jungle" video?

First time I saw the Korn video this was what sprung to my head.

The thing is I already hated Korn. This just makes me hate them even more!

I haven't seen the video, and I'm not not going to go out of my way for it.
But a nu-metal band ripping off other people?
Why, who would have ever heard of such a thing?

Korn arent a Nu-Metal band, not a dj or programmer in sight.
And how exactly is static on a tv screen ripping off GnR
Oh, i get it, its the whole band with instruments in a video thing, oh well done, so very perceptive of you

Korn practically gave birth to nu-metal!
Doesn't matter whether or not the have a DJ or not.

The Deftones don't have a DJ.
    Kittie don't have a DJ.
Raging Speedhorn don't have a DJ.
Machine Head don't have a DJ.
    SpineShank don't have a DJ.

And let's not forget who brought Limp Bizkit into the world...

I saw Korns new vid and am wondering how you compare it to Welcome to the Jungle ? I don't se how ones a rip off of the other.

Now if it was the same video director it might look the same.

Erm, Angelwhore, hate to pi$$ on your parade, but Deftones actually do have a DJ who's name is Frank Delgado. Little Italian looking guy with cool facial hair - you can see him in the 'Back to School' video. And Spineshank have a programmer who works on their albums to give them the blips and bleeps that you hear on the albums, can't remember his name offhand.

I always thought though that Nu-Metal was created by the overuse of down-tuned guitars though, thats why they all sound pretty much the same???? Oh yeah, and a propensity to winge and moan.

Maybe its the whole television thing, but like, I dont think its ripping off.

    Oh who cares?

Does it really matter if Korn do or do not rip off a G'N'R video?

'Cause in all fairness thats all Korn could really nick from G'N'R.....

    Sorry, my mistake!
Just goes to show how long it's been since I've listened to the Deftones.

But I agree, it's quite a lot to do with the downtuned guitars, but also riff structure, and the general lyrical content.
