Dunno if anybody here is into basketball but they are looking good. One game away from sweeping the Nets in the finals and winning their third championship in three years.
Phil Jackson really has made them into a team rather than just a group of individuals.

The Nets have been very poor in the Finals..

The Lakers are way too good inside for the Nets. Kidd has to more or less do it by himself. Great job by him to get the team out of the east.

The real finals were the western finals and the Kings choked in game 6 (I think) when they couldn't hit a shot in the 4th qtr and then lost in OT. The one thing about basketball is you need to have clutch shooters and the Lakers have them in abundance!

Phil Jackson is just unbelievable as a coach though. How he has managed to have the top 2 players in the NBA on his team for 9 years is amazing!

Its been touch and go a few times tho with the two of them, I dont think they are best mates at times :D

But take Shaq out of LA and they are a totally different, almost 'normal' team, just like Man U and Roy K i suppose. No team can loose the best player in the world and not feel it :)

Too be able to manage ego's that are the size of Kobe and Shaq is something else allright.

Basketball is a strange sport though because if you have a dominating player like Shaq you are totally different when he is not in the team. I suppose there are only five players so it is exagerated more.

Yeah the Ireland team may as well come home now Keano is gone brigade are fairly quiet at the moment!

They swept the Nets as expected.
Was there ever really any doubt?
I'm loving this, the Lakers were heavily criticised a few years ago for not being a team just a group of individuals. They always fell short somewhere along the line. Back than Utah were dominating in the West.
But now is a different story. Phil Jackson comes in and they win 3 championships in a row. Is it a dynasty? It's looking that way, well as long as they can keep Shaq.
