    The sith can control/influence a whole bunch of people, such as well the senate!

    Windu is a Jedi, a strong Jedi, his on the good side of the force, now why would he take up a paying job with the Sith?

    You see, what actually happens is Mace Windu and Annie Skywalker get dropped in a vat of strange goo. Their DNA is altered and they merge together to form one great super being - Darth Vader (the only Darth;) ) Hence the Black suit... hence the James Earl Jones voice ... ergo ipso facto w.e.d etc etc :D
