    Wha? No Chuck Schuldiner?

Well none of them really affected me, but my favourite musician of the above would be Freddie.

    Freddie Mercury without a doubt....

That man was a major part of my up bringing and most of my early memories that involve listening to music involve Queen (gotta love my Dad:))....

By the time Kurt detached the back of his head from the rest of his body I was old enough to deal with it a bit better....

    I voted Freddy myself.
I can't say I actualy remember his death tho.

    None of the above.

By experience, most people I know who claim to be upset by Kurt Cobains death can neither remember the date nor the year it occured in. And all for a chap who proved that neither musical talent nor a reasonable grasp of the English language were necessary to make millions.

I was a bit younger when cobain died and i was wearing a grunge is dead tshirt when i heard he died, so that was a bit freaky, that affected me, because nirvana were one of those bands who had a song for every mood, When freddy died i cried because i have been listening to them since i could walk through my father. When George died i felt great loss, because he was a legend but recently when layne died it sickned me because Alice In Chains WERE one of the greatest bands ive ever had the privilage to listen to. The Ramones Rocked like hell and its sad to see any of the old pioneers leave us

RIP Chuck. May your music last forever in our hearts. :(

The only musician passing that really blew me away was Jeff Buckley. He was someone just beginning a potentially brilliant career and left so much undone, it was also more of a surprise than the listed passings.

true about buckley, there was so much still to do, but maybe if he hadnt have died when he did , he wouldnt have such a following. kurt cobain didnt affect me, cos i was a pearl jam fan, terrible i know, but layne stayley was a sad thing, no one finding out sraight away, thats sad, and no more alice in chains they were EXCELLENT.id have to say that is the most upsetting death for me. but then again, drugs ruin everything, could say he brought it on himself, not like george harrison. who knows, life goes on, theres all the new songwriters ready to carry on with new ideas and new ways to get their messages across... in my opinion!

personally none of the above... but if i had to say who did its might be jeff

but in an indirect way i will say Andrew Green, coz man he was responsible for bring Temple Of A Dog/Pearl Jam together

but more recently Mic Christopher.....met the man, had a chance to chat with the man, both the maryjane's and his solo stuff were excellent.....Mic We Will Miss You man, hope your having your "heyday" somewhere

I voted for freddie out of that list. I still remember the morning I heard it, I was a huge queen fan and so shocked. I was very young and i remember going into primary school that day and only one other person in the class was affected by it, or even knew/cared.

If i could undo one death though it would be jeff buckleys. I only discoveed his music after his death so I can't say it affected me at the time, but it has since, when I started loving his music and found out he only made one full album.

The worst recently was Mic Christopher, I'd seen him playing a gig here in galway with glen H only about a month before it, and I'd been telling all my friends about him and trying to get them to go to the gig he was meant to play in the GPO... which he never got to play :(

Ah...good ol' Freddie. His death still affects me.

And I found Chris Burton's death quite upsetting simply because of the way he died. That image of him stuck under that bus is going to stick in the head's of the rest of the band forever.

TetsuoHashimoto tbh thats the dumbest ****in thing i ever heard. Hitler should have died young, same goes for Stalin and Saddam Hussain... I don't really think you can put Freddy Mercury or Joey Ramone et al into the same category...

Also I know some other ppl should have been in that poll, George Harrison for one, but the ppl in that list are there because their music meant something to people too so lets stop with this "**** those ****en ****s they're all ****en useless" stuff plz. :(

Kurt_cobain_rip, don't bother to reply to a comment that was made over two years ago at this stage.

And dragging up old threads like that isn't exactly considered nice either.

Out of those four it would be Kurdt, but that was years ago. Most recently, Elliott Smith's death last year upset me a lot. He was a seriously talented guy, a very emotive songwriter. I believe he was workin on a new album when he died so they'll probably release a posthumous 'sketches' type album, like JB's My Sweetheart The Drunk. Poor guy. He was a troubled soul. He lives on in his beautiful music.

Jeff buckley should be on top of the list and should

his death affected me more than any of the rest.I am a very big JB fan and he will be remembered forever

also what about Shannon Hoon of blind melon he also should be on that list.

Kurt Cobain i was big into nirvana between 92 and 94.I just couldnt believe he took his life.

BTW im sick of morans going around in the "I hate myself and i want to die" teeshirts who didnt even like nirvana when Kurt was alive. The Man is dead,it is disrespectful.

The Queen Ma, because I don't remember any of the others except for Layne Staley, but I was always more of a Jerry Cantrell fan :p
